Hockey Term: Goal

Goal: The term used to describe the act of one team getting the ball to cross the opposing team’s goal line between the goal posts. Each time a goal is scored, the scoring team is awarded one point. The team with the most goals (or “points”) at the end of the game is considered the winner.
